Fall Tutoring 2026 Grades K–8 Math • Reading • Writing
VUOTS provides free, one-on-one tutoring primarily for students in grades K–8, with individualized support in math, reading, and writing.
Our six-week fall session helps students strengthen foundational skills, address academic challenges, and build confidence.

High School Students: Grades 9–12 may be considered on a case-by-case basis based on academic need and tutor availability.
Student Learning Labs: Enrolled K–8 students can receive additional group academic support on October 3 & October 24.
Holiday: No tutoring Monday, October 12. Monday students will receive their sixth session on November 9.

Enrolled families will also receive their child's assigned tutoring day and time.
WHAT STUDENTS RECEIVE
Each student receives:
1 one-on-one tutoring session per week
6 weeks = 6 individual tutoring sessions
Math, reading and/or writing support based on individual needs
Plus, enrolled students may participate in:

Everyday Math: Building the Basics
A Fundamental Math Course for Adults 18+
This fall, VUOTS is offering a free six-week fundamental math course for adults ages 18 and older. Strengthen everyday math skills in a comfortable, supportive learning environment.
Participants will explore addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, money, measurement, and practical problem-solving.
October 1 – November 5, 2026
Thursdays | In Person | FREE
Participants will also be invited to two Saturday Adult Math Learning Labs for additional practice, questions, and group support.
Registration is now open. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

FOSTER CARE TO PRISON PIPELINE Youth Workshop Series
Understanding Systems. Centering Youth Voices. Creating Pathways for Change.
VUOTS is launching a multi-part youth workshop series exploring the connections between foster care, education, trauma, opportunity, community support, and involvement with the justice system.
Through interactive conversations, activities, reflection, and storytelling, young people will have space to examine the systems that affect their lives, share their perspectives, and explore what stronger pathways of support and opportunity can look like.
