HAPPY WOMENS HISTORY MONTH
HAPPY WOMENS HISTORY MONTH
Victoria Urban Outreach Tutoring Service (VUOTS) is currently between tutoring seasons.
As we prepare for our Spring Tutoring Program, updates regarding scheduling and registration will be shared soon.
While tutoring sessions are paused, our work continues as we build, plan, and expand opportunities for the students and families we serve.
Spring tutoring will begin in April 2026. Please check back for updates.

Philly BOLT – West Philadelphia High School
VUOTS partners with Philly BOLT to support students through hands-on learning experiences, mentorship, and exposure to community-based work.

VUOTS provides educational workshops centered on the life, legacy, and global impact of Reverend Dr. Leon H. Sullivan. These sessions connect history to present-day issues, helping students understand leadership, advocacy, and economic empowerment.
In partnership with the Leon H. Sullivan Charitable Trust, these workshops create meaningful learning experiences that highlight Black history, leadership, and social responsibility.

Mastery Charter School – Lenfest Campus (Center City)
VUOTS works with student interns from Mastery Charter Lenfest Campus, providing opportunities for real-world learning, mentorship, and engagement in educational programming.

VUOTS offers interactive workshops that introduce students to civic engagement, leadership, and community responsibility. Students learn the importance of their voice, their role in shaping their communities, and how to engage in meaningful dialogue and action.
These sessions are designed to build confidence, critical thinking, and awareness of social issues that impact their lives.

Through our partnership with YouthBuild, interns gain experience in education, community service, and professional development while supporting VUOTS programming.

VUOTS believes storytelling is a tool for healing, truth, and transformation. Through North Philly: A Black Freedom Jawn and our Empowering Voices Project, we create space for youth and community members to share their stories, preserve history, and reclaim their narratives.
Our workshops center lived experience, intergenerational dialogue, and creative expression—helping participants build confidence in their voice while recognizing their power to influence change and strengthen community.
