VUOTS Spring TUTORING

VUOTS Summer Schedule (June–August 2026)

Victoria Urban Outreach Tutoring Service (VUOTS) is excited to begin preparing for Summer 2026 through collaborative summer enrichment opportunities and community engagement initiatives.

This summer, VUOTS will focus on partnering with "As I Plant This Seed" a community nonprofit organizations to support youth through educational enrichment activities, literacy engagement, mentorship, creative programming, and community-based learning experiences. Our goal is to continue planting seeds, building partnerships, and creating meaningful opportunities for youth engagement across our communities.

At this time, VUOTS does not currently have funding secured for a full summer tutoring program. Ongoing summer tutoring services will not be formally offered during Summer 2026. However, if additional funding opportunities become available, limited tutoring support may be provided on a case-by-case basis for youth in grades 8–12.

VUOTS plans to officially resume tutoring services in Fall 2026 for students in grades K–12.

As we continue celebrating 10 years of service, we remain committed to creating educational opportunities, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting youth and families through innovative and collaborative programming.

We look forward to sharing additional summer enrichment activities, partnerships, and opportunities with the community soon.

As I Plant This Seed

Mastery Charter School – Lenfest Campus (Center City)
VUOTS works with student interns from Mastery Charter Lenfest Campus, providing opportunities for real-world learning, mentorship, and engagement in educational programming.

Urban League of Philadelphia

Through this partnership, the Urban League of Philadelphia will fund a six-week internship placement with VUOTS, providing a college student with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community engagement, nonprofit administration, educational programming, and youth development.

The internship reflects a shared commitment to investing in emerging leaders and creating pathways for students to develop professional skills while serving their communities.

VUOTS is grateful to the Urban League of Philadelphia for its investment in workforce development and for supporting opportunities that connect students with meaningful experiences in the nonprofit sector.

We look forward to welcoming our summer intern and continuing to build partnerships that strengthen educational and professional opportunities for young people throughout Philadelphia.

Storytelling & Youth Voice Workshops

VUOTS believes storytelling is a tool for healing, truth, and transformation. Through North Philly: A Black Freedom Jawn and our Empowering Voices Project, we create space for youth and community members to share their stories, preserve history, and reclaim their narratives.
